MEMBERSHIP
We are pleased to advise that our members have passed a special resolution that effective 1st July 2006, membership fees for individual Carers will not attract a fee. Voluntary, tax-deductable donations can be made if you are able.
We would like to encourage Carers and service providers Carers
to join our organisation so that you can receive regular information
and updates from us.
The aim of this measure is to encourage more family Carers to be actively
involved in Carers ACT and to encourage more Carers to access information
and support to better assist them in their caring role.
The benefits of being Member of Carers ACT are:
- Representation of your issues at both a local and national level.
- A Carers ACT Association membership card.
- Free entry to Hoyts Cinemas when you take the person you care for and present your membership card.
- Complimentary copy of our quarterly newsletter
- Access to relevant and timely information about services and events to support you in your caring role.
- Invitations to special members-only events
- Access to our library service which includes a catalogue of books, videos and DVDs (we also provide a mail out service for those unable to attend our offices in Belconnen or Torrens)
- Free use of the internet facility in the library.
