What is Flexible Family Support?
Flexible Family Support (FFS) represents a significant change in approach from traditional respite responses. It encourages families, individuals and communities to explore develop and strengthen supports.
Therefore Flexible Family Support is not just about purchasing equipment, services, short term support or responding to a crisis.
FFS adopts a broad base description of support that acknowledges the diverse needs of families and the wide array of services vital for meeting such needs.
We do this by working closely with families to identify how they can best be assisted to develop personalised responses, reflective of the needs at different stages, which encourage growth.
Flexible Family Support focus on a caring relationship.
Who is it for?
Flexible Families Support (FFS) assists:
• People who in a caring relationship with someone who is either an older person, a person who has a disability or a person with a mental health issue
• People who want to explore different ways of supporting, nurturing and developing their caring relationship

• Develop a sustainable relationship
• Develop your family's strengths
• Explore creative possibilities
• Support you as a primary decision maker
• Build on existing natural and community supports
