EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Carers ACT aim to improve the quality of life of Carers through our
education and training programs. We offer a range of programs designed
to increase the awareness and knowledge of Carers, and to provide them
with the information and skills needed to provide effective care and
look after their own wellbeing.
Our education and training seminars are interactive and informative
and cover a wide range of issues and topics related to the caring role.
Our trainers are professional, knowledgeable and friendly and can cater courses to meet the groups individual needs.
Learn to Meditate
Meditation is a way of becoming more alive and aware of our moment-to-moment experience. It includes relaxation but is more than that, providing an effective way to bring about change in our lives. Two essential Buddhist meditation practices will be taught: Mindfulness of Breathing, which enhances awareness and peace of mind; and Metta Bhavana which brings about a gentle but positive transformation of our emotional world. Through these complementary practices we can overcome negative feelings and replace them with a confident, kind and other regarding attitude.
