Quality of Life Grants
Disability ACT is inviting people with a disability or their families to  apply for a Quality of Life Grant. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for goods or services that will improve the lives of people with disability under 65 years of age and their families and carers who assist them. The application form and more information is available here.Â
Applications close 31 May 2012. You can also call Disability ACT Information Service on 6207 1086 and ask for a grant application kit.

March 2012 – ACT Greens Discussion Paper: Planning, Navigation and Meaningful Opportunities – Post School Options for Young People with a Disability
Each year in the ACT, according to the Community Services Directorate, approximately 50 young people with disability leave public school education. For most young people, this can be a time of change and excitement, as they start to exercise more independence, seek employment, or go on to further education and training.
